إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ عَلَىٰ مِلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، اللَّهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

میں نے اپنا رخ اس ذات کی طرف کیا جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا، ابراہیم کی ملت پر، یکسو ہو کر، اور میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں۔ بے شک میری نماز، میری قربانی، میرا جینا اور میرا مرنا سب اللہ رب العالمین کے لیے ہے۔ اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، مجھے اسی کا حکم دیا گیا ہے اور میں فرمانبرداروں میں سے ہوں۔ اے اللہ! یہ تیری ہی طرف سے ہے اور تیرے ہی لیے ہے۔ اللہ کے نام سے، اور اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے۔
Qurbani Ki Dua Translation in English
I have turned my face towards the One who created the heavens and the earth, on the way of Ibrahim, devoted to Him alone, and I am not among those who associate partners with Allah. Indeed my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. He has no partner. This is what I have been commanded, and I am among those who submit. O Allah, this is from You and for You. In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.

Qurbani Ki Dua in Hadith
Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sacrificed two rams on the day of Eid. When he turned them towards the qiblah, he recited the dua above and then slaughtered. (Sunan Abu Dawud: 2795; also in Ibn Majah)
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ sacrificed two rams with his own hand, saying Bismillah and Allahu Akbar. (Sahih al-Bukhari: 5565; Sahih Muslim: 1966)
Dua After Qurbani
After the slaughter, ask Allah to accept the sacrifice. Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet ﷺ asked Allah to accept it from him, his family and his Ummah (Sahih Muslim: 1967). You can say:
اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي
Roman English: Allahumma taqabbal minni.
हिंदी: अल्लाहुम्मा तक़ब्बल मिन्नी। (ऐ अल्लाह, इसे मेरी तरफ़ से क़ुबूल फ़रमा।)
Translation: O Allah, accept this from me.
Qurbani Ka Tarika (How to Perform Qurbani)
- Make the intention that the sacrifice is for Allah alone.
- Sharpen the knife beforehand, away from the animal’s sight.
- Lay the animal down gently, facing the qiblah.
- Recite the qurbani ki dua.
- Say Bismillahi wallahu akbar and slaughter swiftly.
- Ask Allah to accept the sacrifice.
Qurbani is performed after the Eid prayer on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, and on the 11th and 12th. Some scholars also allow the 13th. For rulings on the animal, shares and distribution of the meat, ask a scholar of your school of thought.
