Taraweeh prayer is a special supplication that is recited in the month of Ramadan on the night after the Isha Prayer. It is a congregated prayer that is performed in the mosque and consists of 20 Rakats.

Mode of Reciting Taraweeh Prayer

  • Step No.1:

The recitation of dua e Taraweeh begins after the completion of four Rakats.

  • Step No.2:

Recite ‘’Allahu Akbar’’ with the following raise of hands and start the Taraweeh prayer.

  • Step No.3:

Recite the Taraweeh prayer in Arabic context.

  • Step No.4:

After the completion of reciting Dua e Taraweeh, lower your hands and continue the Taraweeh prayer.

Additional Point:

If we see the background of the Taraweeh prayer. It was practicised by our beloved Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) during the Month of Ramadan.

Although it is an optional or Nafl prayer, it is highly recommended to perform this supplication according to our Holy Prophet.
